1. How do I register in startuptrade.com ?

Registration on startuptrade.com is absolutely FREE.   Click here to register.


2. Can I start buying or selling as soon as I register?

Yes. You can search and respond to ads immediately on registration.



3. How do I post my classified ad?

In order to post an ad, you need to be a registered user.


  • If you are a first time user, click here to register free.

  • If you are an existing user, login with your email id and password.

  • Click on the "Post your ad".

4. How do I post a photo with my classified ad?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password" .

  • Click on the "Ads posted by you" link .

  • Click on "Change Photo" link under the specific ad, browse new photo and click on the "Upload" button.

5. I have already posted my ad. How do I add a photo?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password" .

  • Click on the "Ads posted by you" link .

  • Click on "Change Photo" link under the specific ad, browse new photo and click on the "Upload" button.

6. Can both the buyers and sellers upload a photo?

No. Only sellers can upload a photo with their classified ad.


7. Will my ad be posted at once?

No. Every ad that is posted needs to be validated. It will take up to 24 hours for validation. An e-mail would be sent to you, accepting or rejecting your ad when the validation process is complete.



8. How will I be informed of the responses for ads which I have posted?

You will receive responses for your advertisement on the "e-mail" address provided by you while posting the advertisement.


9. What is the duration of my ad on startuptrade.com ?

Your ad will be posted on startuptrade.com for a period of 1 week to 60 days depending of the Ad Duration what you specify while posting an Ad.



10. How do I renew my ad after the date of expiry?


  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on the "Ads posted by you" link.

  • Click on "Renew this ad" link under the specific ad to renew the ad for another 30 days.

11. Do I need to pay to renew my ad?

No. Its absolutely free.


12. How do I edit an ad that I have posted?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on the "Ads posted by you" link.

  • Click on "Edit this ad" link under the specific ad, make the necessary changes and click on the "Modify" button.


13. How do I change a photo for an ad that I have posted?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on the "Ads posted by you" link.

  • Click on "Change Photo" link under the specific ad, browse new photo and click on the "Upload" button.

14. How do I delete an ad that I have posted?

    Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on the "Ads posted by you" link.

  • Click on "Delete this ad" link under the specific ad, and confirm your deletion by clicking on the "Delete" button.

  • An ad once deleted cannot be restored.


15. How do I search for a particular product or service?

Click on Search for the different search options.


16. Can I keep short-listed ads separately to view them later?

Yes. You can add the short-listed ad to your favourites list.


17. How do I add an advertisement to my "Favourite Ad List"?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Search for required product or service.

  • Click on "Add to favourites" button.

18. How do I View/Edit my "Favourite Ad List"?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on "View/Edit Favourite Ad List" under "Favourites".

19. Can I be notified of ads that match my search criteria?

Yes. You can "Set Alert On" to be notified of the ads that match your search criteria.


20. How do I "Set Alert On"?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on "Set Alert" under "Alerts".

  • Fill in the form and click on the "Set Alert" button.

21. For how many categories can I set alerts?

You can set alerts for one category and a maximum of three sub-categories.


22. How do I "Set Alert Off"?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on "Set Alert" under "Alerts".

  • Click on "Turn alert off".

23. I forgot my password. What should I do?

  • Visit startuptrade.com .

  • Click on the "Forgot Password" link in the home page.

  • Enter your "E-mail address" and click on "Send my password" button.

  • Your "Password" will be sent to you via email immediately.

  • Your Email address should be the one given on registration.

24. How do I change my password?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password".

  • Click on the "Change Password" link.

  • Fill in the form and click on "Change Password" button.

  • Your new password will be activated immediately. Please use the new password the next time you login.

25. Why can't I view the Ad I just posted on startuptrade.com. ?

Your ad will be posted and can be viewed only on completion of the validation process that will take a maximum of 24 hrs.


26. Why can't I find my Ad in the keyword search results?

Your ad will be posted and can be viewed only on completion of the validation process that will take 24 hrs. If the problem still persists after 24 hrs please check your keyword again.



27. How do I modify personal information?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password" .

  • Click on the "Modify Details" link.

  • Make necessary changes and click on "Modify" button.


28. How do I delete my account?

  • Login with your "e-mail id" and "password" .

  • Click on the "Delete Account" link.

  • Enter your password and click on "Delete Account" button to confirm.
